How it all started
Combimix was founded on October 1, 2001, by Gunnar Lund together with the Danish Ole Romer. They bought a small company with an office in Helsingborg and a factory in Backamo, Ljungskile. The idea was primarily to establish themselves in the Mälardalen region and develop a number of new products, including floor leveling products.
In parallel, they built up a business in Denmark, and in 2003, they expanded to Norway. In 2005, Combimix also opened a third factory in Bålsta, north of Stockholm, which until 2020 was Combimix’s largest and most modern factory. In the spring of 2021, we opened our newly built factory located next to our oldest factory in Backamo. The new factory is our largest and has double the capacity of our second largest factory in Bålsta. In Sweden, we currently have about 60 employees and a turnover of approximately 300 million SEK. In other words, Combimix has grown since its start in 2001 and is continuously working to develop and expand.
The company consists of six departments: Finance/IT, Marketing, Quality & Environment, Production, and Sales & Customer Service, with production being the largest department. The demand to work at Combimix is constantly growing as the company becomes increasingly prominent in the construction industry.
