Normal-drying
A normally drying self-leveling compound (or screed) dries by the water in the compound evaporating into the surroundings.
This means that the drying time is affected by several external factors, such as temperature, air humidity, ventilation, and the thickness of the material applied. In practice, this can mean that you may have to wait several weeks before the surface is dry enough to be covered (or coated), especially in cool or poorly ventilated spaces. These products are often more cost-effective in terms of material price and are well suited for projects where time is not critical and where it is easy to ventilate the moisture away. For controlling the moisture content in normally drying self-leveling compounds, the flooring industry's GBR method is recommended.
